Differential Blackbody MRDT-50
This thermo-electric powered Blackbody provides both hot and cold operation. Originally developed for its high slew rate and rapid settling time, it is ideal for two point calibration of infrared cameras. However, its ability to achieve set-point temperature in less than a minute makes any IR lab calibration that much faster.
The MRDT-50 pictured at left includes a USB cord which plugs directly into any Windows PC. The device operates using its own accompanying software interface to allow for fast automated control.

Software Interface
Each IR Blackbody system comes equipped with its own user-friendly software compatible with Microsoft Windows.
Operating the software is easy!
Once installed, just choose which mode you want to operate in the software by clicking one of two radio buttons:
- Fixed mode is used without the bar target in place so that the blackbody radiator plate maintains a fixed temperature.
- Differential mode is used with the bar target in place so that the blackbody radiator plate maintains a fixed temperature difference relative to the target.
Simply enter your desired fixed or differential temperature, click the set button and you are in business!
